EUREKA! Stretch Goals Announced!
about 7 years ago – Wed, Jan 25, 2017 at 04:31:24 AM

Now that we're over 75% we can finally reveal our stretch goals!

Here ya go:

So, you might be wondering... That Mad Scientist card; what does THAT do?

Having trouble finishing your robot? Stuck on a tough problem and don't know what to do next? Then bring in Devol Institute's resident scientist to help ya out.

But, be warned: He's spent way to many hours tweaking samoflanges, mixing pre-framulated amulite and adjusting roto-hydrators. So, he's a little off his rocker...

If we can reach our first stretch goal we will add ONE copy of Mad Scientist to every deck of RobotLab. (We'll also make him part of the print-and-play reward.)

  • Goal #1 - 125% Funded: Mad Scientist Promo Card

Our other two stretch goals result in a higher quality product for you. Since both of them add cost to our production the goals are a bit higher.

  • Goal #2 - 150% Funded: Upgraded card stock from a Gloss Finish 270 GSM White Core to a super nice Linen Finish 300 GSM White Core
  • Goal #3 - 175% Funded: Upgraded packaging from a simple tuck box to a super sturdy, laminated, two-part, chipboard box.

There ya go! Our stretch goals are now LIVE!

Just high five those robots and they'll help ya out:

News

Translation: We've had a number of requests for the game to be translated into other languages and in response - We're going to include translations for French and Spanish. These will be available on our website for both the rules AND the cards and will be ready before the game ships. If you are looking for another language: Let us know! We're happy to include more languages if there is a demand for it.

Events: If you're in the Chicagoland area then you should come see us! We're doing about 2 events every week from now until our campaign ends. Check our Facebook page or website for details.

Reviews: A big thanks to LuckyPennyShop.com and BoardGameCloset for their recent reviews of RobotLab. If you're craving some gameplay example while we're working on getting a play through video up then please check these out. Both show some samples of playing the game.

Good News Everyone!
about 7 years ago – Mon, Jan 16, 2017 at 03:31:20 PM

Thanks to all of you we’ve more than doubled our funding since launch day. As of this update we’re at 57%! Over 200 of you have pledged more than $5,100 to help bring RobotLab to life! Thank you for your support.

While all of you spent the last few days being awesome, Team RobotLab was on-site at the Midwinter Gaming Convention in Milwaukee, WI. We met lots of great people, gave away some raffle prizes and built hundreds of robots. We even chatted a bit with FOX 6 News. You can see some videos from the weekend below:

RobotLab & Midwinter Gaming Convention "ring the bell" on our Kickstarter:

Interview with Fox6 News:

Altogether, Midwinter was a HUGE SUCCESS! Thanks again to Anne Holmes and her team for putting together such a great convention - I'm sure we'll be back next year!

We're thrilled with the progress of the campaign so far, but like Doc Brown’s Time-Train: we don’t want to run out of steam. Your pledges are important, but so is your personal recommendation. If you believe in us enough to pledge, then tell your friends!

Just hit the robot hands and they’ll help ya out:

Thanks!
